About Trina
I treat every client like family — because most of mine become just that.

I'm Trina Simeona, a licensed independent insurance agent born and raised in Hawaii. My work started with Medicare — sitting at kitchen tables in Hilo, translating fine print into real answers for our kūpuna — and has grown to include coverage for every stage of life.
Because I'm independent, I'm not pushing one carrier's plan. I'm looking at your health, your budget, your family, and helping you find what actually fits.
Beyond insurance
Co-host of the Kare For Kūpuna Podcast
I co-host Kare For Kūpuna alongside fellow licensed agent Lani Soliven — the leading voice for Hawai'i's kūpuna (elders), caregivers, and the families walking alongside them.

Kare For Kūpuna
The leading voice for Hawai'i's kūpuna
Connecting Hawai'i's seniors and caregivers with local resources, expert insights, and practical solutions for aging in the islands.
With a decade of combined experience in health insurance and elder care, Lani and I help families navigate the aging journey with dignity, clarity, and aloha.

FAQ
Common questions, honest answers.
Do I have to pay for a consultation?+
No. Consultations are always free — whether we meet in Hilo, by phone, or on video.
Are you tied to one insurance company?+
No. I'm an independent agent, which means I can shop across multiple carriers to find what fits you best.
What's the difference between Impact Health and traditional insurance?+
Impact Health is a medical cost-sharing program, not insurance. It often works well for people under 65 who don't qualify for ACA subsidies. I'll walk through the differences and whether it's a fit for your situation.
Can I enroll year-round?+
It depends on the product. Medicare has specific enrollment windows, but Impact Health, dental, and life insurance can typically be enrolled year-round.
Do you work with people outside Hilo?+
Yes — I serve clients across the Big Island and can meet virtually with anyone in Hawaii.
